ASUNAFO NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY, WASH TEAM AND OTHER STATE INSTITUTIONS COLLECTIVELY CLEAN GOASO
The Assembly in partnership with the Goase traditional Council, other state and private institutions came together on Saturday 2nd August, 2025 to clean and desilt chocked gutters around the enclave of the principal streets in Goaso in preparation towards the "Doti yie" of the Late Omanhene of Goaso Traditional Council, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah.
The Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Joseph Akparibo entreated the general public to observe cleanliness accross the municipality before during and after the funeral rites for the late Omanhene is performed. He also reaffirmed his commitment towards ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene throughout his tenure as Municipal Chief Executive. The upcoming monthly national sanitation day exercise should be observed as such by all and sundry , he added. Mr. Mohammed Alhassan Yakubu, the Municipal Coordinating Director played a pivotal role by bringing all state institutions on board to engage in this exercise. The exemplary leadership of the MCD influenced the involvement of all Heads of state institutions in the Municipality in this coarse. Nana Ama Serwaa, the queen mother of Goaso Traditional Council in her speech indicated and entreated everyone to uphold on to cleanliness and maintenance of hygienic environment before,during and after the funeral celebration. This general cleaning exercise brought on board security agencies, staff from state institutions, the Ambulance Service, Nananom from the traditional council, Municipal WASH team, Zoomlion Ghana and the general public. The entire environment and surroundings of Goaso redeemed it's natural beauty after this clean up exercise. The Assembly and the traditional Council therefore urged all and sundry to observe, preserve and maintain clean environment at all time.
