ASUNAFO NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY EMBARKED ON A TWO DAY COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EXERCISE.

As part of our commitment to ensure participation and involvement of our constituents in government programs and actions, on Tuesday, 20th and on Thursday 22nd January, 2026, the Assembly led by the Hon. Mohammed Haruna, MP and Hon.Joseph Akparibo the Municipal Chief Executive engaged chiefs and people of Adiepena, Gyesewobre, Sampra, Asumura,Anyimaye, Mfante, Aworakeseman, Manukrom, Tweapease, Atom, Sayereanafo, Obama Nkwanta, Alhassan Guruma, Manukrom No.2, Awewoho-Manhyia, Pommaakrom,Tipokrom and Boakyeasua. This was part of the MP's and MCE's familiarisation tour after the 2024 general election which the NDC emerged winner's leading to the appointment and confirmation of the Municipal Chief Executive. Concerns and challenges hindering the living conditions that cut accross Economic, Education , Water, Telecommunication, sanitation, Agriculture, Youth Unemployment, Health, Security and Roads Infrastructure development in the areas were identified with assurance of mitigating the challenges. In acknowledging their challenges, the MP and the MCE took the opportunity to explain and clarified issues on government policies especially thier road networks and provision of potable drinking water to the communities. An assurance was given to the communities on government commitment in ensuring that development is spread accross the area. The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Benjamin Owusu Afriyie and some management staff of the Assembly. Engaging the various communities, heads of NCCE, Social Welfare, Environmental Health, Information Service Department/RTI, The Akrodie Ghana Police Service,The Goaso Fire Service were given the opportunity to educate communities on their roles and duty lines. Knowing thier civic responsibility, fire prevention, maintenance of peace and order, knowing the Right to Information Act, domestic violence and child labour, sanitation and hygiene were key areas discussed with community members. The Asunafo North MCE, commended residents and entreated communities for their support and readiness to partner the leadership of the Assembly and in the constituency towards driving the national development and the resetting agenda forward to achieve it's intended objectives. All the engagements ended successfully to the glory of God.
